minute. And whenever a whm brings up something
about wanting a whm buff, everyone else always
says, "They already buffed whm, they made sch so
whm can sub it". And if I'm not mistaken, now
with the merits SCH can actually boost a party's
stats with weather spells. Hopefully the next
update has something for WHM, RDM and BLM thats

Please. I started with rdm 75, then blm 75, now
sch 75. Sch didn't take phalanx 2 away,
Accession is a powerful ability its true, but
being aoe self cast for stoneskin and phalanx it
can be a real pain to get people to stand still
for it. There are situations where putting
yourself near the tank (Faust comes to mind
right away) is deadly and stupid. If you wanted
to complain about something you should complain
about hastega. And yes, aoe enspells are nice,
but not as good as having haste at our disposal.
SCH is the first true gray mage, that does not
make it better or worse than blm whm rdm or smn
for that matter. It just provides different

I'm pretty sure that that's not what Hirimi
didn't intend SCH to be the new RDM in
Melee/Magic, but more on the Magic side as
mentioned.
What I believe Hirimi was refurring to as SCH
the new RDM in the fact that SCH can still be
able to do some of the stuff RDM can on more of
a BLM/WHM or WHM/BLM on crack (ie- AoE Phalanx,
stun, etc.).
For someone who doesn't play the game anymore, I
dunno what the big deal with you is for someone
making a crack about it.

I'm not the least bit pissed with Scholar. I'm
glad for it, really, as it gives SE good reason to
give red mage something. I'm not bothered by the
Phalanxga thing, I never intended to merit Phalanx

have the full monty.
Besides, Scholar plays a little bit differently
from all the rest due to Arts and Stratagems. For
starters if you play a debuffer role you have to
order your spells differently than you did on RDM
so you can drop all of one type, switch arts, then

not really, dark arts and light arts have the
same enfeebling, just a matter of wearing pants
vs body. the slight mp penalty is worth saving
that art swap for when you really need to be a
nuker vs a healer/buffer. addendums burn charges
after all.
